“Kapable has elevated my self-awareness to a degree I couldn’t have imagined. Some of the intrinsic aspects they touched upon impacted me emotionally, physically, and psychologically. It was a holistic approach, not just to how you operate at work, but also in your interactions with family and friends. The benefits of joining Kapable have been immense, and the learnings I’ve gained will stay with me for a long time.”
Professionally, in my workplace, I was finding it hard to generate ideas and effectively articulate. That’s when I felt the need to join a program like Kapable that could enable me to drive meaningful conversations and, at the same time, improve my confidence—both in myself and in how I interact with and motivate others at work. I manage a team, and my effectiveness is directly proportional to theirs. So, I realised that if I could make myself more equipped, I’d be able to help them as well.
I wasn’t expecting to be 100% transformed in just three months, but Kapable has elevated my self-awareness to a degree I couldn’t have imagined. Some of the intrinsic aspects they touched upon impacted me emotionally, physically, and psychologically. It was a holistic approach, not just to how you operate at work, but also in your interactions with family and friends. The benefits of joining Kapable have been immense, and the learnings I’ve gained will stay with me for a long time.
One framework that really stood out for me is EPL (Ethos, Pathos, Logos). I always leaned on Logos, focusing on data and facts, without giving much importance to the other aspects. But leveraging EPL as a framework has helped me come across as a much more evolved speaker, and it allows me to drive conversations meaningfully. I used to be very reluctant to initiate conversations, often preferring to stay silent rather than ask questions. A transformational tip I received from a trainer for this was to start sharing my point of view with phrases like, “My stance is…” or “My point of view is….”. This simple shift released the pressure I felt to always say something fully perfected, and elevated my confidence. Additionally, the WH questions—who, what, when, where, why, and how—have been revolutionary for me. They, along with EPL and the eagerness to share my point of view, have transformed how I approach communication, especially in areas where I used to feel limited.
There was a recent update I had to provide to senior leadership regarding a product launch. It was a challenge because I needed to keep the update high-level and succinct without going too deep into details. The PUNCH technique helped me restrict myself, giving an update that was impactful yet concise. While I started off well, I was able to appropriately share the intent and content, and I wrapped up by summarising with the “Rule of Three.” It was a eureka moment for me, and I believe it was equally impactful for my audience. I felt extremely proud because, without Kapable, I wouldn’t have consciously done this.
